School Uniforms

Have you ever considered school uniforms? They are a good thing to do but most people do not agree. Uniforms make nobody feel left out for who they are. They improve attendance, and they help you gain confidence and self-esteem.

First of all, uniforms help students so they do not feel left out. Wearing uniforms helps decrease peer pressure in buying trendy clothes. Fashion, nowadays, is a real competition in teenagers’ lives. I am convinced that uniforms bring equality between bullies and cowards; just like the lion and the lamb before Adam and Eve sinned.

In addition, school uniforms also improve attendance. Students now will look forward to going to school and are not scared they do not fit in. Because of equality, it is obvious that you realize that you are not somebody else but yourself. Realizing that you are worth something makes you feel confident. You definitely cannot go against the fact that it also gives students more self-esteem.

After that, my opinion is still standing strong on the fact that it gives students more confidence and self-esteem. Equality still has an important role in this debate; because if you do not have equality, you cannot stand up for yourself. School uniforms also decrease the amount of pride in someone; being the one with the best clothes and trendy fashion.

In conclusion, I hope you now understand why it is a good thing to have school uniforms. They make nobody feel left out for who they are, improve attendance, and it helps students gain confidence and self-esteem. Go to a school where they use school uniforms if you want all of these good reasons.

My Introduction

Hi, I’m Jolijn, I am eleven years old and live with my mom, dad, brother, and sister in a cozy house located in the Lisbon area. I go to school at GLCA, Greater Lisbon Christian Academy. I’m in 6th grade and am so excited to go to junior high next year. I am from The Netherlands but have been here in Portugal for three years already because of missionary work. I have no pets but used to have a bunny. I like baking, reading, sleeping, giving stuff to other people and going to school. I absolutely love going to school here at GLCA and am super sad that I have to leave in January to go back to The Netherlands for furlough.
